About

Hi, I'm Aayush.

Aayush waving

I turn tech jargon into layman's terms: one word at a time, each one explained with an everyday comparison you already understand.

Why this exists

Tech is full of words that get used as if everyone already knows them. AI, LLM, API, the cloud. Most people nod along, a little unsure, and never ask, because asking feels like admitting something.

You shouldn't need a computer science degree to follow a conversation about the tools you use every day. So this is the place to ask. No question is too basic, and nobody here will make you feel silly for asking.

How every term works

  1. An everyday comparison first. A toddler learning what a dog is. Throwing paper at a bin. Something you already know, so the new idea has somewhere to land.

  2. A picture of that moment. Every term has its own hand-drawn illustration, so the idea sticks.

  3. The meaning in one line. The “In short” bubble at the top is the version you can repeat to a friend.

  4. Where you'll hear it. Real phrases people say, and what they actually mean.

  5. Something to say in a meeting. One good question you can ask, so you're part of the conversation instead of nodding along.

A promise

Every comparison is a simplification. When one stops working, I'll say so, and I check the facts before anything goes up.

One new word every week

It started with AI, and quantum computing is next. A new term goes up every week, carefully written rather than rushed, and the list grows from there.
